Adrien Brody

  • Born: April 14, 1973 in New York, NY
  • Notable Works:
    • The Pianist (2002)
    • King Kong (2005)
    • The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
  • Academy Award Nominations:
    • 2003 Best Actor for The Pianist (won)
  • Personal Favorite: The Village (2004)

After working with Terrence Malick, Spike Lee, and Barry Levinson in the late 1990s, it was only a matter of time until Brody’s break out role would come. In 2002, when he won Best Actor for The Pianist, he become the youngest actor to ever win that category at age 29. However, the string of films that would follow, (The Village, King Kong, Hollywoodland, The Jacket, Cadillac Records, Predators) never gave Brody quite the consistent star status that he seemed primed for. He’s now recently worked with Woody Allen and numerously times with Wes Anderson. Hopefully he’s working on a ramp up to a another major dramatic role that he seems destined to repeat.
