Over the last twenty years, Wes Anderson has created his own style of storytelling, along with a very singular way of choosing color palettes and set pieces. Anderson’s films are extremely character driven and chock full of dry and darkly witty dialogue. All eight of his films have been both directed and written by him, with common themes being strange familial relationships, the melodrama with coming of age, and morally ambiguous or conflicted protagonists. In addition to his unique stage setting and cinematography, he also has assembled a very talented group of frequent collaborators. Actors who have worked with Anderson at least three times include Waris Ahluwalia, Adrien Brody, Seymour Cassel, Willem Dafoe, Anjelica Huston, Bill Murray, Kumar Pallana, Jason Schwartzman, Andrew Wilson, Luke Wilson, and Owen Wilson. Anderson is currently in pre-production for another stop-motion animated film set to star Bill Murray, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, and Bob Balaban.

Such a great director! I didn’t know about his new film- hopefully it will be as good as Fantastic Mr Fox
